The air was a bit tense after the exchange between Marin and Rokusho. Standing amid the debris, Lida didn't like the awkward feeling of a nice evening turned sour. It was warm and breezy, the sun still giving plenty of light despite pink hues beginning to fall across the sky. Tall palm trees yielding fruit dotted the shoreline, among other tropical flowers and shrubs. Morgan, on the other hand, rolled his eyes dramatically and crossed him arms angrily. They were there to help clean up... but they didn't expect to be cleaning up a tender wound. "Alright then, let's get to work!" Lida exclaimed, hoping to cut through the thick tension. "Yes, yes! Everyone get started, and stack as much debris as possible!" Marin suddenly changed to a delightful tone. Rokusho outlined a few piles in the sand, to help organize the items by type-- glass, wood, metal, etc. And so, the group got to work, picking up various items-- both in-tact and unrecognizable. Lida was the first to skip over and start scanning for neat trinkets-- part of the reason she came along. Like a predator scanning for prey, she squinted at a slight green glimmer in the sand. "OOO, a vintage bottle!" Lida held the plain bottle up to her eye, giggling. She had a weakness for anything colorful and shimmery, no matter what it was. Walking over to the pile, she was the first to set down an item in the glass area. She continued to jump around, "ooo-ing" and "ahh-ing" at every little treasure (or, what the others considered trash) she could get her hands on. Her live-limb, Zydo, chomped at anything he could latch on to (mostly for purposes of soothing hunger and wickedness..). Morgan had drifted away from the group, keeping to himself and wandering around looking for easily carried pieces. He picked up small pieces of wood, dulled down in their brown, and wet with moss that began to grow. "Uck.." he muttered under his breath, dragging himself over to the others to drop off his collected pile. Meanwhile, Marin and Rokusho were working together to bring the larger pieces of debris over. All the while, they were cracking bitter, but friendly jokes about their history as they uncovered things that brought up memories. Marin playfully swung around a broken chain, teasing Rokusho about how "they will never have to worry about this ol' thing again!". Rokusho gave her a very serious look, before they burst out laughing. Lida was extremely confused, exchanging this sentiment with Zydo, before shrugging and turning back to work. Morgan, who had just dropped off his third load of easy picks, huffed "Geez, by the time we finish here, you guys will have gotten married." He dusted his hands off and turned to the sun, beginning to set against the slowly lapping waves. Lights in the nearby cham villages began to trickle on, like a flowing stream against the dark silhouettes of white clay houses. "We should probably start wrapping this up, we can finish grabbing what we've sorted out here tomorrow," Morgan cleared his throat at Marin and Rokusho, who were chuckling away still. "Oh yes! I hadn't realized how late it had gotten already!" Rokusho beamed, "I really appreciate you two helping us out here! We got a lot done" "Yeah, no kidding" Morgan grumbled and tramped on over to Lida. "Come on kiddo, let's get going home," the tall and serious cham gently nudged Lida along. She held up an old coin with an unfamiliar imprint on it. "Look at what I found Morgan! Can I please take it home?" Lida beamed at him with puppy-dog eyes. Marin chuckled, "Go right ahead! We won't be needing that around these parts anymore!" Rokusho rolled his eyes, and with that they all began to head back to the town before night fell.

Wyrm’s delightful spring nap was brought to an abrupt end by the incessant explosion of Bunny through the door.

“Helloooo Wyrmie, my dearest friend! I bring you such wonderful, exciting news. Oh, I just know you will be absolutely astounded to hear!”

Wyrm gave a very drowsy, long blink at Bunny in confusion. He stood-- rather slithered-- upward in all of his snake-like glory, greeting back with a big stretch and yawn.

“You’ve just interrupted my very important afternoon nap, thanks for asking,” he glared at Bunny. “And why are you in my house, you can’t just freely go aro-”

“Oh don’t be such a drama queen, this is much more important than your little beauty nap!” Bunny cut him off with equal dramatics.

“What is it this time?” Wyrm asked exhaustedly, both from ruined sleep and knowing that “adventure” means becoming more tired. Bunny was constantly dragging him along on these “fun!” and “exciting!” adventures, and he had reached his limit for possibly a lifetime. He eyed his basket of berries longingly, he had wanted to make a pie with them soon. They were perfectly vibrant and taut with tart juices. The familiar array of red, blue, and purple brought such joy to his eyes. He turned his attention back.

“Dr. Juniper just asked if we want to help her with a big egg she found. She’s doing a very important research study on it!” he beamed. “At least it sounded important,” he took back, rubbing his chin in confusion.

"She doesn't do that often, huh? Guess we should go help out." Wyrm sighed and followed Bunny on the path to Juniper's greenhouse.

The path to Juniper's was very scenic and had a variety of wildlife. The best part about it, with the season being spring, many plants were in full bloom. Wyrm didn't like getting out much, but could not deny the beauty and alluring scents of flowers. Bunny, on the other hand, had a terrible allergy to many of the flowers and sneezed up a storm all the way along. A bunch of blue and pink flowers glowing in a patch of sunlight caught Wyrm's eye. They had an oddly comforting scent, and the veins in the petals created intriguing designs, unlike any other flower. He snatched them up in his mouth for Juniper, as he had never seen them growing around here before, and figured Juniper would be interested. "Might as well bring her a gift for the troubles we-- Bunny-- will probably cause anyway," Wyrm thought.

"How sweet! I didn't think to bring Juniper a gift for letting us help her with something so important!" Bunny exclaimed stuffily. Wyrm rolled his eyes and they continued on.

By the time they arrived at the greenhouse, late afternoon had settled in. There was a light breeze picking up in the air, cool and gentle on Wyrm's face. They entered through the doors and greeted Juniper, who was occupied with writing something down.

"Juniper! It's so good to see you, I hope we aren't too late!" immediately hopping over, Bunny was almost vibrating with excitement. Wyrm found a glass water vase and put the flowers he had brought inside of it.

"I found some odd flowers on the way here, I've been through that path so much and never seen them. I thought you might be interested so I grabbed a bunch" Wyrm slithered over slowly next to his eccentric friend.

"Oh, that's so lovely of you, thanks!" Juniper finished writing down her notes before turning to smile at them. "So I had this egg given to me by another researcher. I am just stunned by how big it is! But I can't figure out what it is. I've been keeping a close eye on it, but wanted to study it a little."

"We can surely help with that!" Bunny petted the egg, "Don't worry little guy, we'll figure out what you are!". Wyrm chuckled, knowing his friend would be an awful parent for even a plant.

"Yeah, let's get to work," Wyrm sat with Bunny and Juniper as they began to go through a list of notes. The sun was just barely showing over the windows, and the moon had appeared in the sky as a delicate figure. Stars were beginning to peek out of their blue-curtained sky. It was going to be a lovely night of fun, (as fun as egg sitting gets) Wyrm felt it.
